CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE released their first track of 2024 today (March 1st) called “Grooving Night”!
This track transcends indescribable emotions into a groovy sensation, reflecting the idea of wanting to “dance with all our heart, embracing the uncoolness.” Pay attention to its catchy lyrics and sounds that naturally make you want to sing along.

CHAMELEONLIME WHOOPIEPIE not only handles the production of their music and album covers, but also takes charge of everything from shooting and editing their music videos themselves. In this latest work, set in the middle of a midnight forest, Chi- dances to the groove alone on the bed of a truck that was emitting mysterious lights decorated by the members, creating a charmingly unrefined music video.
As a memorable moment during the shoot, they had unexpected snowfall covering the ground in white that enhanced the colorful decorative lights even more. It added an extra touch of beauty to their footage. Make sure to explore their artistic worldview, where the blend of the message and humor achieves a unique but perfect balance.
Additionally, they have been confirmed toper form at the world’s largest festival held in Austin, Texas, “SXSW 2024,”from March 8th to the 16th for the second consecutive year!
CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE’s last year’s “SXSW2023” performance was the only Japanese artist to be selected among over 1,000performers for the ‘Top 10 Best Performances’ by US music media outlet ‘VIBE.’ Their performance was highly praised and sparked a buzz locally. It’s exciting to see what kind of performance they will bring to the stage this year.
Last year, they released their debut album, Orange, and held their first solo concerts in Tokyo and Osaka. They then went on to perform at numerous summer festivals like “Rush Ball 2023” and “SWEET LOVE SHOWER 2023” as well as events overseas such as “SXSW 2023” in Texas and “SXSW Sydney 2023” in Australia.

【BIO】
CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE (CLWP) is a solo unit made by Chi- whoʼs known for her bright orange hair. The band also has two other members, Whoopies No.1 & Whoopies No.2, and they not only write and perform music together, but are also involved in many other creative works.
Their first single was released on December2019 called “Dear Idiot”. In 2021, they were selected to be in Spotifyʼs Radar: Early Noise 2021 playlist. They then went on to perform for one of the biggest festivals in Japan called Summer Sonic 2022, in Tokyo and Osaka in August 2022.
Their stardom doesn’t stop there, as they performed for SXSW 2023 in March 2023. This performance resulted in being featured in an article from VIBE titled “10 Best Performances We Saw at SXSW2023”. While continuously receiving praise and requests to collaborate from musicians and producers abroad, CLWP will be sure to push the boundaries as a new generation artist.
